Job Description:

The Event Content Manager’s primary responsibility is to help execute the event planning process and to manage sessions, speakers, and related logistics for some internal and all external/industry events. This includes manage call for presentations, submission status, and speaker preparation. Position will be the primary point of contact for all speaking related communications – which includes guiding internal and external speaker resources through content development and preparation process.

The Event Content Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end project management process which will include engaging key stakeholders at the start of the content planning process to help identify the content strategy, setting of production timelines. Position will be responsible for the hands-on, daily management of all session logistics including gaining legal and compliance approval, proofreading, PowerPoint presentations, and more.

It is important that the candidate is able to confidently interact with staff at all levels, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism. The candidate will possess exceptional oral and written communications skills, and be adaptable to procedures, processes and techniques required to complete assignments in line with the firm’s goals.

Job Description/Position Responsibilities

  • Manage speaker bureau and session ideation process to develop content aligned with event strategy
  • Supporting event program managers in the Morgan Stanley at Work Event and Operations group
  • Leading the call for topics process using the CVENT platform to collect ideas from potential speakers (internal and external) for speaker proposals
  • Maintaining database to track submitted content and past ideas for content repurposing
  • Provide operational and logistical event support
  • Create show guides and event education for home office
  • Supporting local and virtual US Public events
  • Creating registration website for smaller events

Signature Client User Conference

  • Planning and launching the call for session proposals process
  • Reviewing and curating submitted results to assist with building out final agenda
  • Managing speaker-related communication workflows (inclusive of acceptance decisions, presentation development kickoff, conference registration information, preliminary instructions)
  • Working with other project workflows to ensure content pieces align with the rest of the conference (e.g., continuing education workflow, registration communication)

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in communications and/or related functions within a large organization preferred
  • Familiarity with the Stock Plan Business
  • Familiarity with the Legal and Compliance Review Process (CRC)
  • Demonstrate software proficiency with Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) as well as other event registration and contact management platforms
  • Superior oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to adapt procedures, processes and techniques to the completion of assignments
