Amazon Advertising is seeking an experienced Event Communications Marketing Manager to join our Global Strategic Events team. The Global Strategic Events team is driven by the Leadership Principle “Think Big.” Our mission is to connect customers to Amazon Advertising through best-in-class experiences. We are responsible for designing, producing, executing and measuring tier-one first and third party events for Amazon Advertising’s customers and partners, with the goal of delivering business results. As the Event Communications Marketing Manager, you will develop event marketing demand gen campaigns, communications, sales engagement communications, and audience acquisition plans across our events. This includes the development of all pre, during, and post-event communications to both internal and external audiences. The ideal candidate has experience in marketing B2B products and/or events, and knowledge of campaign development and execution. A primary function of this role is to package and promote Amazon Ads’ tier one events including Cannes Lions and CES. To be successful, you will need to have superb writing and editing skills, strong attention to detail, and be comfortable prioritizing and working on deadlines. Successful candidates must also have experience developing and executing communication strategies across teams, and supporting in the development and improvement of communication platforms. Candidates should be passionate about creating engaging event communications, delivering results, and be willing to roll-up their sleeves. The right candidate will be a self-starter and have strong interpersonal, project management, and analytical skills. This is an individual contributor role, with no direct reports.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Create and scale demand generation, attendee communications, and digital strategy plans for in-person and digital events, working closely with cross functional teams.
  • Develop, execute, and measure targeted marketing campaigns to support audience acquisition for third-party events.
  • Develop and deliver integrated communications plans across multiple audiences (attendees, stakeholders, etc.)
  • Work closely with the event leads to align to event goals and objectives, develop, drive, and measure event communications.
  • Manage review process of all attendee-facing event communications, registration emails, event landing page copy, mobile app content, and sales communications.
  • Create and execute marketing plans to meet registration goals for events.
  • Track metrics, and analyze marketing campaign performance, including identifying opportunities to optimize performance.
  • Continually seek out ways to improve existing communication channels and processes to help us better reach and engage our audience.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion
  • 4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
  • 4+ years of experience creating event-specific messaging, and audience acquisition plans.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience creating metrics to measure communication effectiveness, reach, and engagement.
  • Ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally with teams across the organization.
  • Strong understanding of event strategy, content development, and digital marketing.
  • Experience developing and managing digital projects such as demand gen/audience acquisition, lead generation emails, event invites, event landing pages, online banners, event registration email copy, and mobile app content.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience developing relationships with team members, stakeholders, vendors, and partners.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Existing knowledge of industry marketing tools, such as Airtable, SalesForce, Marketo and other marketing technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background with technology industry or global consumer brand.
  • Experience in the advertising industry, and/or online advertising.
  • Experience in digital marketing, event communications, nurture programs, and marketing automation
  • Ability to manage simultaneous projects in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
  • Ability to simplify complex processes to create internal and external efficiencies.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally and work across time zones.
  • Ability to work independently and autonomously.
