Job Description:

Salesforce is seeking a highly motivated and creative individual to lead our Ancillary Programs team within the Strategic Events Department. The Ancillary Programs team creates and drives pipeline accelerating events tied to the Strategic Events portfolio. This team collaborates with the Experience Strategy, Product and Industry Marketing and other teams to create and deliver strategic objectives and demand gen goals to deliver an outstanding onsite experience for our customers!

As Director of the Ancillary Programs team, you will lead all aspects of the strategic development of the team’s event programs. You will be responsible for the overarching strategy and execution of all Ancillary Programs aligned with the Strategic Events Proprietary event portfolio. This will include events within events, as well as stand-alone programs. You will drive the demand generation in partnership with key collaborators. Your team leads the opportunities, engagement, communication, execution and reporting of the portfolio. You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, you’re an experienced negotiator and you’re a creative problem solver who never settles. You’re a strong leader, role model and day-to-day manager of a phenomenal and hard-working team.


  • Develop and implement the strategy for Ancillary Programs
  • Day to day management of Ancillary Programs
  • Lead and manage the Ancillary Programs team
  • Strategize and activate programs for highest return on investment
  • Partner with key collaborators to complete key program goals
  • Cross-collaboration with internal teams
  • Accountable to business metrics and reporting in collaboration with Strategic Events and Marketing
  • Partner with Strategic Events team on strategy and fiscal planning (event calendar and budgets)
  • Handle large budgets and multiple vendors

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ Years Experience in Marketing, Event Marketing/Event Management preferred
  • Experience running programs in complex matrixed environments
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely and handle expectations with project team members
  • Outstanding project and time management skills – highly organized, detail-focused, and accountable
  • Ability to work against tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and work on multiple initiatives and projects simultaneously
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a solid ability to work with senior executives, vendors, and team members at all levels of the organization
  • Strong deck development and writing skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel 30%.
