The Director, Partnership Marketing, Tradeshows & Events will develop strategies and activate marketing and sales enablement campaigns with a network of 3rd party sellers. In addition to partnership responsibilities, this role will also lead ACV’s large event strategy and coordination, being the key point of contact for tentpole events like the NADA Show. This role will interact with departments across the organization, including close collaboration with our sales, data/analytics, product & technology, operations, and finance teams. This role reports directly to the Chief Marketing Officer.

  • Lead all aspects of the strategic marketing processes to drive growth, retention & cross-sell via partnerships.
  • Develop product positioning and messaging that articulate ACV’s value proposition in various marketing and sales assets, including case studies, pitch decks, webinars, and other customer collateral.
  • Develop and execute ACV’s tradeshow and event strategy roadmap. Work cross-functionally with multiple departments and outside vendors to flawlessly execute show plans.
  • Owner of, planning and marketing activations for all aspects of relationships with major partners and emerging channels
  • Develop product positioning and messaging that articulate ACV’s value proposition in various marketing and sales assets, including case studies, pitch decks, webinars, and other customer collateral.
  • Lead planning and execution of various new product program launches at various life cycles, including alphas, betas, and general availability stages.
  • Create executive-level presentations showcasing our strategy, results, and recommendations for both internal and external audiences.
  • Establish strong partnerships across Global Marketing, Partner Management, and internal departments to deliver against defined goals and objectives.
  • Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders to develop new and/or improved programs to deliver against marketing strategies and drive  business objectives  
  • Responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interprets market research and aligning global strategy to achieve results
  • Completes, manages, and participates in the completion of a project location review
  • Analyze existing partnerships and evaluate based on KPIs, working with sales and marketing leadership to reset, reduce or expand based on the evaluation.
  • Develop a robust partnership pipeline management process consisting of new and expensed current partnerships.
  • Develop and maintain a robust performance and partnership scorecard
  • Research and develop new partnerships across the industry, including with dealership associations and other companies outside of ACV’s space.
  • Understand the business priorities of assigned accounts and strategically align them with ACV’s objectives to drive mutually beneficial growth.
  • Develop and maintain standardized marketing valuation processes across teams by regularly analyzing, synthesizing, and presenting partner insights (acquisition, upgrade, engagement).
  • Execute and manage multiple, simultaneous projects within budget, on schedule, and within quality standards.
  • Manage multi-million-dollar marketing budget effectively and efficiently.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education Requirements

  • Preferred – 4 Year/Bachelor’s degree – marketing or related field.

Years of Experience

  • 10 years relevant experience – automotive marketing experience a plus
  • 5 years progressive leadership

Additional Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing large trade shows and events.
  • Understanding of marketing partnerships and negotiation experience a plus
