Commvault is looking for a confident Global Events leader who is passionate about re-defining events in this ever-changing environment, with a focus on innovation and continuous delivery as guiding principles. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the global events team along with the strategy and execution of our event portfolio. Events include our customer conferences, partner conferences, sales kickoff and incentive events, executive & technical briefings, thought leadership, tradeshows & industry events, webinars, and inventing new event experiences, based on business needs.

This leader is responsible for working cross-functionally across Commvault. You will manage/influence/collaborate with leadership, solutions/product marketing, customer marketing, field marketing, brand, communications / PR, demand gen, digital, business insights, sales and others to amplify our company initiatives, campaigns, brand and event pipeline goals.


  • Virtual and in-person experience – are equally important given the current landscape
  • Develop, analyze and evolve the event portfolio to tell our brand/solutions story, create advocacy/evangelists, advance our roadmap and engage our key audiences
  • Event analytics tracking to include the audience, their engagement and participation as well as ROI (for the marketing pipeline etc)
  • Define the event and execution strategy for our Commvault GO / Virtual Connections customer conference/programs, including developing KPIs. (Our customer event had over 2000 attendees with 100 people participating)
  • Initiate and drive innovative, integrated event marketing plans aimed at driving pipeline creation, increasing market share and reinforcing our market leadership and brand identity
  • Creative (out of the box experience to stand out from Zoom fatigue and be safe for in-person post COVID but still entertaining )
  • Create event in a box for the field team as well not just global events
  • Manage, develop, coach and advise the global events team
  • Work cross functionally across Marketing, GTM and Product teams to identify, develop, optimize and/or localize content that articulates the company’s product positioning, differentiated and compelling value propositions, solutions messaging, and promotion strategies to leverage for Tier 1 event sponsorships, key corporate events and executive briefings
  • Responsible for driving internal and external event communications and audience acquisition strategy, in partnership with Demand Gen, Comms and Marketing Automation teams
  • Manage key audiences, accelerate sales pipeline and drive marketing-influenced bookings for all events
  • Provide vendor and partner direction and manage internal and external resources
  • Partner closely w/ theater marketing leads when developing all content and event frameworks
  • Align closely w/ Brand on all event branding and assets


  • 10+ years delivering successful customer event experiences (live, virtual & hybrid)
  • People manager w/ experience growing, managing and fostering individuals as well as the team
  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual presentation skills
  • Creative, collaborative, and resourceful
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  • Lead and influence w/ executives and cross-departmentally
  • Data-driven mindset focused on setting and measuring KPIs and pipeline metrics
  • Strong understanding and practice of event strategy and content development
  • Knowledge and experience with online event platforms and tools (reg/web/mobile) for digital, live-streamed and in-person events
  • Experience working in both digital and in-person event environments, with in-depth knowledge of managing internal and external production teams
  • Experience working in an integrated marketing/demand gen organization
  • Positive and motivated self-starter
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity, with the ability to drive clarity for the team
