Director, Experiential Events Marketing – Spotter

Are you excited about the convergence of digital and in-person interactions, and have ideas on how to blend these experiences to strengthen human connections? We are seeking an Experiential Events Marketing Director to join Spotter’s Creator Community team who will strategize and drive storytelling for a portfolio of events spanning several partner segments.

In this role, you will use your expertise to help formulate a world-class attendee experience for Spotter’s Creator Community. You will conceive new ways to reach Spotter community members and will drive best-in-class content and storytelling.

Responsibilities:

  • Partners with key stakeholders across Creator Community to develop overall event brief
  • Oversee clear target audiences based upon sponsor objectives, editorial vision, brand marketing/exposure or other key objectives for each event and program. Clearly understand each event, its unique market position and target audiences.
  • Sets the goals and objectives for each event, and responsible for defining and reporting on ROI and key measures of success across events
  • Concepts and recommends engaging and innovative experiences as part of the consumer journey at events
  • Drives the consumer journey for attendees from start to finish by taking into account community feedback and insights
  • Briefs the production team with a detailed deliverables list and serves as the main project manager for all event content- live and virtual
  • Responsible for managing executive level content development, mapping out work back calendars, and identifying key milestones
  • Oversee the marketing strategy for every event product via paid, earned and owned channels.
  • Collaborate closely with a team of event producers, sponsors, creative teams, copy writers, consumer and brand marketing, insights, network development, media planners and journalists to develop marketing plans that deliver on virtual experiences and audiences.
  • Work closely with programming, communications and brand marketing team to ensure strategic, as well as consistent brand identification including the rollout of speaker announcements, event messaging and press releases for timely news management and awareness

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of relevant work experience in related areas of strategy, event management, content management, or marketing
  • Innate attention to detail and a strategic mindset
  • Excellent time management, resource management and planning skills
  • Professional oral and written communication skills.
  • Extensive experience with program and project management
  • Demonstrated experience with large-scale live and virtual events
  • Ability to travel, up to 20% (pending COVID-19 regulations)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to manage time and juggle multiple priorities to execute high quality deliverables
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, cross-functional, startup environment
