Pinterest brings millions of people the inspiration to create a life they love – whether it’s what to make for dinner or planning your next vacation. We are seeking a leader to run our global event marketing team that primarily focuses on our business audiences like marketers, agencies, and creators. The Director of Event Marketing will lead and manage a team of event marketers based in the US and Europe. The ideal candidate will develop events and experiences which will drive comprehension of Pinterest, deepen brand love, and develop advocacy of Pinterest as a marketing platform. We’re looking for someone who knows how to develop an event from concept to execution. You’ll be a strategic doer, creative thinker, and nonstop innovator, and you’ll play a critical role in driving revenue growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of experienced event marketers in the US and Europe
  • Manage and prioritize initiatives and budgets
  • Articulate a clear and compelling vision for events and experiences
  • Develop and execute a marketing plan for 2020
  • Develop and implement measurement protocols to track the impact of all events
  • Partner closely with leaders across sales, PR, creative, and product to build a cohesive strategy and establish global alignment

What We’re Looking For

  • 10-15 years of event marketing experience within media or technology companies
  • An inspirational leader with managing high performance internal and external teams including agencies
  • Strong communicator and ability to work across multiple cross-functional teams and time zones
  • Proven track record of delivering quantifiable business impact through marketing
  • Ability to travel for up to 30-40% of the time and be on-site to lead the team
  • Able to lift 20 lbs
