Within the Experience Marketing team at Ivanti, the Events team creates and delivers amazing in-person and virtual experiences for customers and employees that contribute to brand awareness, lead generation and pipeline goals, positive sentiment about Ivanti, and employee sentiment and retention.

The Director, Event Marketing manages a small but mighty team that works across Marketing, Sales, Enablement, Product, and our Customer Success teams to bring the Ivanti brand and story to life by integrating events into an overall integrated marketing plan. The position requires a strategic mindset, an outcome-focused mentality, and a highly collaborative working style. A successful candidate will have the confidence and presence to work effectively with the most senior leaders, peers, and outside agencies that we partner with to deliver Events in all geographies.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Understand and translate Ivanti’s business and marketing goals to create an end-to-end corporate event strategy for every place we show up, including user conferences, sponsored industry events, partner events, and large internal meetings.
  • Ensure events strategy maximizes support for other departmental and team goals including sales, customer support and service, communications, digital etc.
  • Oversee full event operations on all programs – experience design and agenda/run of show, planning and internal coordination, venue selection and administration, agency management, space planning, lead capture and sharing process, sponsorship packages and recruitment, internal and external promotion and communications, budget, and reporting on event KPIs to VP, Experience Marketing and other Executives.
  • Build effective team and cross-organizational processes to ensure the event program is planned and executed effectively to help us ensure maximum outcomes for the business.
  • Ensure we have the tools and platforms we need to execute highly effective events.
  • Effectively manage the overall events budget, KPI and target development and monitoring/reporting.
  • Lead and nurture relationships with event agency counterparts to maximize value and output.
  • Grow and develop the skills and competencies of your team through day-to-day management and ongoing career planning and development.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of demonstrated success in project and event management in a rapid-growth environment.
  • Experience in software, SaaS-based, or technology products preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience hiring, managing, and leading high-performing individual contributors.
  • Strong project management detail, extensive event logistics experience, and proven success in cross functional work leading teams toward a project goal.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once, set priorities, work proactively and independently, problem solve, improvise, and lead a team that must perform well under pressure.
  • Prior experience managing outside agencies in the event space.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to build trust and collaboration with peers
  • Experience with event platform vendors such as Cvent, ON24, as well has knowledge of project management and standard business software.
  • Ability to travel to support events.
