Job Description:

The Corporate Events Manager is responsible for planning, logistics, operations and execution of Gainsight’s participation in trade shows and Gainsight’s corporate events and executive meetings. The Corporate Events Manager will direct cross-functional staff and vendors as well as work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to execute on the company’s vision and business objectives at trade shows and events.

This individual will be involved in all planning aspects of Gainsight’s third-party trade shows and marquee conference, Pulse, as well as ancillary executive events and internal events. This individual will monitor event budgets, present key event metrics to demonstrate event impact and ROI, project management of the trade show process, and execute events onsite all while reflecting Gainsight’s company culture. What You’ll Do

Support Gainsight’s overall go-to-market by planning and executing trade shows, corporate events, and conferences. Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Create and manage event timelines and strategic plans
  • Lead the planning, logistical operations and execution of Gainsight’s third-party trade show participation in North America (sponsorship, tradeshow booth, speaking opportunities, etc)
  • Direct cross-functional staff and vendors as well as work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to execute on the company’s vision and business objectives at events
  • Work with internal stakeholders to set tradeshow objectives and clearly communicate the expectations and responsibilities to stakeholders, vendors, and attendees
  • Schedule and participate in regular team meetings about events
  • Create and update the Event Brief (pre-event) and Event Debrief (post-event)
  • Manage meeting registration process including, but not limited to, badge registration, housing, and travel logistics as needed
  • Maintain partnerships with vendors and oversee event logistics (meeting room set-up, hotel rooming list, food and beverage arrangements, audio-visual requirements, ground transportation arrangements, recreational activities, etc.)
  • Use existing inventory and/or order additional promotional items, manage shipping, onsite giveaway plan/raffle
  • Create and manage trade show and events budget including tracking, reporting, initiating contract/procurement process and ensuring timely payment of vendors
  • Travel to events to help with the onsite logistics and execution

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years combined corporate event and event series experience, working for at least one SaaS-based B2B technology company
  • You set a high bar in everything you do – quality, creativity, execution, productivity and of course balance.
  • Your events wow! You have hands-on experience in event management and have built out successful audience acquisition programs/events
  • You thrive on deadlines, you’re detail-oriented and you effectively manage multiple projects concurrently
  • You have a proven track record of working collaboratively with Demand Generation, Product Marketing, Content, and Field Marketing teams
  • You can also work independently, problem-solve, and make critical decisions
  • You always find room for improvement–you can scrutinize the current event process and evolve it to better meet the demands of the business
  • You are highly organized, flexible, and can thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • A sense of humor, willingness to be your authentic self and a deep believer of being human-first is a big plus
  • You are comfortable being on your feet for long periods of time at in-person events
  • Excellent project management, time management, organization, written and verbal communication skills
