This position is part of the Netflix Corporate Events Team which focuses on producing unique and memorable experiences for our employees across the globe. The role will focus on a wide range of event types from recruiting events to department offsites and will report directly to our LA Corporate Events Manager.

What You’ll Do

  • Organize, facilitate, and manage all event details such as decor, catering, entertainment, transportation, location, invitee list, special guests, equipment, promotional material, etc.
  • Work as a cross functional thought and event partner throughout the company
  • Collaborate and strategize with stakeholders to identify their needs and to ensure flawless execution
  • Conduct vendor research, gather information and negotiate contracts and rates
  • Provide feedback and periodic reports to stakeholders
  • Propose ideas to improve provided services and event quality
  • Proactively handle any arising issues and troubleshoot any emerging problems
  • Conduct pre- and post-event evaluations and report on outcomes
  • Research event industry and identify opportunities for innovation and creativity
  • Create, manage and reconcile budgets and process invoices

What You’ll Need

  • Direct experience leading various-sized events of 1000+ attendees
  • Extensive project management experience and strong communication skills
  • Experience working cross functionally in a mid to large sized organization while building trust and fostering collaboration
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure with tight deadlines
  • A successful to multi-tasker that has lead several events simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • The desire to consistently enhance and innovate events, bringing new ideas to the table – both strategically and in execution
  • Excellent eye for detail, highly organized and thorough
  • A creative thinker that is able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to travel (up to 40%)
