Job Description:

The corporate event manager will work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment to organize and execute in-person events, meetings, trade show booths, conference activities, and other related projects. This role requires previous experience in corporate event planning, exceptional customer service skills, a high level of professionalism. The ideal candidate should possess strong organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented atmosphere.

Responsibilities

  • Manage event operations, including registration, attendee communications, speaker management, meeting material preparation, expense tracking, and event technology.
  • Coordinate event logistics such as on-site venue management, food and beverage arrangements, audiovisual requirements, vendor management, transportation, administrative tasks, and other related meeting or conference logistics.
  • Execute trade show booths including arranging for the exhibit space, vendor coordination, sponsorship activation, giveaways, collateral, and staffing.
  • Organize and oversee events like receptions, dinners, and networking functions, including researching suitable restaurants and event spaces.
  • Use Smartsheet to create project plans and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Collaborate with the Communications team and the Policy and Compliance team to ensure the team and event stays aligned and on time.
  • Establish event goals and track results, holding event debriefs and sending event surveys and incorporating feedback into future events.
  • Coordinate event preparation, including ordering supplies, determining signage needs, and packing and shipping event materials.
  • Maintain budgets and event calendars accurately.
  • Manage logistics for company conference attendees, including conference registration and room blocks.
  • Manage promotional items including sourcing, ordering, inventory management, and shipping.
  • Assist in determining hotel space requirements, coordinate hotel request for proposals, site selection, and contracting.
  • Provide support for virtual events and webinars as needed.
  • Perform other department duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Relevant degree preferred.
  • 2 or more years of relevant experience in corporate event planning required.
  • Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) or Certificate in Meeting Management (CMM) preferred.
  • Experience using event registration systems (ex. Stova, Cvent) and project management systems (ex. Smartsheet).
  • Strong time management, project management, and customer service skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple events under tight timelines while maintaining accuracy.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.

Estimated Hiring Range

$59,600.00 – $86,450.00
